Happity shortlisted in mumandworking Awards 2018

We’re delighted that Happity has been shortlisted for the mumandworking Awards 2018 – yay! 🎉🎉🍾🍾🤩

Happity is on the shortlist for an award in the category “Best use of technology or innovation within a family-friendly business” (sponsored by babyballet) – in recognition of businesses who make use of technology to promote flexible working.

Recognition for Happity’s remote and flexible workplace

Technology and innovation are at the very core of Happity’s business – so it’s fantastic to make the shortlist for success in this field. As a tech startup run by mums, we are especially passionate about raising awareness of the benefits of flexibility amongst other startups. These young founders are creating the future world of work, yet many of them have never encountered the issues facing working parents today.

Our founder, Sara Tateno, says:

As a mum who had made the move into the tech sector, I could absolutely see the potential for modern technology to enable family-friendly working. Starting Happity I was absolutely determined to reimagine what work should look like in the 21st Century and create a business that not only creates flexible work that works for parents, but demonstrate that it’s for the benefit of companies too.

That’s why Happity is powered by a  team of parents who work flexibly from home, who fit working hours around family life. Since many of our customers are often parents in business themselves, that also means we’re available at the times they most need us! We use a wide range of technology to keep in touch and collaborate, with team members in Yorkshire, London and Kent. We’re constantly looking at innovative ways to improve what we do.

Plus, our remote workplace means we don’t have to worry about commuting or fixed 9 to 5 hours. So, more time for the fun stuff!

About the mumandworking Awards 2018

Flexible working is an increasingly hot topic these days, especially as mums in business now generate billions for the UK economy and support thousands of jobs. But while flexible working policies have improved in recent years, it’s safe to say there’s still a long way to go.

mumandworking.co.uk is a recruitment website specialising in flexible working vacancies – from employed roles to franchises to direct selling. It also provides information, support and advice for those seeking family-friendly jobs or to get back to work after a career break.

The mumandworking Awards were founded 8 years ago and seek to:

  • celebrate inspiring individuals;
  • recognise fantastic employers; and
  • champion flexible, family-friendly work.
