BUMP, BIRTH AND BEYOND DUDLEY
Midwife Led Antenatal Classes in Dudley
What Bump, Birth and Beyond Dudley says
Hi, I’m Amy and I became a midwife in 2014. I originally trained and worked at a busy hospital in Birmingham. I rotated between maternity wards, delivery suite, birth centre, community and home birth team. In 2018, I became a community midwife at a local trust in the Wolverhampton area. I love that I get to build a rapport with pregnant people and their families throughout their journey and meet people from all walks of life. I am passionate about inclusivity; providing a safe space to share unbiased, evidence-based information to allow informed decision-making. I hope to take the fear out of birth by having positive and honest conversations where no question is off limits. I have a keen interest in infant feeding and one of my favourite parts of my job is providing feeding support. Outside of midwifery I have a partner and two amazing little boys who like to keep me on my toes! My first was born during the Covid-19 pandemic (in lockdown) and many support services were cut. I therefore understand the importance of a solid support network and meeting other expectant parents to socialise with along the way. In my spare time I enjoy crafts and run a small business making macramé rainbows and personalised gifts.
