COOK STARS BEDFORD NORTH AND RUSHDEN

Making cookings child's play!

What Cook Stars says

Our Cook Stars team is passionate about cooking and we simply LOVE good food! We share our love of cooking through teaching children and teenagers how to create their very own dishes from scratch.

We offer classes for pre-school children, primary school age children, tweens and teens delivered through our team of franchisees. We also host special event workshops, birthday parties and classes within schools and the community.
At Cook Stars we take care of all the preparation to make it easy for our Cook Stars to simply come along and enjoy our sessions. All ingredients, cooking equipment, an apron, packaging and cooking know-how is provided! Everyone takes home their lovely dish along with a recipe card to cook again at home. We even see to the clearing away and washing up!

Here at Cook Stars we want our classes to be accessible to everyone, so our classes are affordable and offer fantastic value. As well as providing everything you'll need to cook we also treat children to a craft activity and a snack to keep them entertained during cooking time.

At our sessions, there's lots of opportunity to experiment with different preparation methods....weighing, measuring, shape cutting, decorating, rolling and much more! We learn about different ingredients, try new foods and develop useful life skills.

Cook Stars believe the secret to pleasurable learning is though 'play' so our classes are friendly, relaxed and fun. We keep our class sizes small to tailor our support and encourage individuals whilst we cook up a wide range of delicious dishes.

We look forward to welcoming you along to our sessions and hope you love them as much as we do.

About

My name is Liz Ewang and I am the proud owner of Cook Stars Bedford North and Rushden.
My introduction to Cook Stars came through attending classes with my little boy, Elijah (who was 2 at the time), and the sessions made a lasting impression not just on my son, but on me as well. I noticed Elijah becoming more interested in what was happening each time I was in the kitchen, wanting to help with measuring, mixing and chopping, and engaging in discussions about where our food comes from. It stuck with me how much enjoyment we both got from the sessions each week, and when the opportunity came along to share this experience with others, it filled me with excitement!

I am a qualified primary school teacher and have over 10 years experience working with young children of different ages, not just in schools, but as a previous Tae Kwon Do assistant instructor. I love learning new skills, and cooking is one that has stuck with me from a very young age, when I would help my parents to prepare, cook and of course taste foods (and still do, my favourite recipe being my mum's banana cake!).

Prior to becoming a teacher, my past work had given me the opportunity to travel and explore a wide range of cultures, landscapes and food. This passion is still very much with me today.

Another passion of mine is working with children and I am very excited to share the fun of cooking, whilst teaching them valuable skills that I know will stay with them. It makes me so happy seeing the delight of the children when they triumph in making their very own dishes to take home.

I look forward to cooking with your child and welcoming you to my classes, workshops and parties.
