What It Takes A Village, Crystal Palace says

Welcome to our village, an inclusive perinatal peer support community. We are here to help nurture your mental wellbeing, and support you and your family from pregnancy to parenthood. Run by local mums and supported by expert practitioners, we provide postnatal and infant feeding support, stay & play drop-ins, and Guest Speaker workshops/events in and around Crystal Palace, South East London.

We run free weekly postnatal meet-ups every Tuesday from 10.15am to 12pm. It's a restorative space for you and your baby to meet other local families, practice building your breast/chest/bottle feeding confidence, and explore a calm, mindful relationship with your baby, and more importantly, yourself. Summer meet-ups are held in Crystal Palace Park (near the Brown & Green Life cafe), and when the weather turns, we head indoors to St Hugh's Community Centre in Anerley.

It Takes A Village, Crystal Palace CIC is a non-profit organisation initially set up in May 2021 thanks to seed funding from Mind Charity. We have since received community funding from JoJo Maman Bebe and The National Lottery.

Led by local mum, NHS/ABM trained Breastfeeding Peer Supporter and ITAV Founder Emily Harper, and supported by resident IBCLC and Breastfeeding Counsellor Eleanor Campbell, our postnatal community sessions are free, inclusive and accessible for all. We do however rely on donations to cover our venue, refreshments and other costs to keep services running, so all contributions made when you book with us are very welcomed. All funds raised go directly towards continuing to supporting local families in our community.
