What Me&Baby Dance says

Come and enjoy music and movement together with your child and other families. Find playful ways to connect and work creatively with your child’s developing physicality. Led by dance movement psychotherapists, these sessions are designed to support bonding, confidence and creativity.

No previous dance experience needed. Come as you are, even if baby is sleeping and you're running late. Just bring comfortable clothes and get ready to move!

As the name suggests, Me&Baby Dance is about dancing together. It sounds simple, and it is. It’s the basic action of moving together, playing together, and seeing each other. It is about harnessing the power of playing with your child and responding to their communications and body language. But it’s also, importantly, about you; giving you time to listen to your body and be creative in movement. The stresses and demands of caring for a child can make us forget ourselves, and the Me&Baby Dance sessions are about sparking creativity and play in the adult, in order to give you more energy and joy in responding to your child.

About

I am a ADMP-UK registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist and mother of two, based in central London. My background is in physical theatre and dance, and I spent many years leading creative workshops with children and adults before qualifying as a therapist in 2019. I started Me&Baby Dance when I had my first daughter, because I wanted her to see a more playful side of me and I wanted a space to have fun with other adults. I have developed Me&Baby Dance to include sessions for toddlers and KS1 as my own children have grown. When facilitating workshops, my goal is always to awaken creativity and encourage participants, young and old, to be playful and confident.
