Hi my name is Shakira and i am a mum of two boys, they are 6 and 15months old. When my eldest was born i found my days a bit lonely as none of my friends had children or they were older or they were at work. I had heard of baby groups but found them a bit daunting as i felt that as a first time mum who didn't know anything i would be looked down on or judged. I finally convinced myself to try one out as talking to myself and getting no responses from my new born was starting to drive me slowly crazy. It was the best thing i had ever done!

It wasn't anything like i expected it to be it was just other mums like me that wanted somewhere to go and have an actual conversation whilst still entertaining their children. After that we practically lived at baby groups, i would go nearly every day sometimes twice a day to see the parents i had made friends with, to socialise, have a chat and get advise from others going through and feeling the same things as me without judgement.

With my youngest being born during the lockdown it was hard as their wasn't any groups on and it was just hard to see people in general. Even when things started opening up again i had to book in advance or book a block which wasn't easy to commit to with an unpredictable baby. So i decided to create a group myself that not only offers those things but also gives parents and carers a relaxed, and easy way to socialise whilst still enjoying time with their little ones.
