The MUSIC WITH MUMMY programme will take your child on a musical journey from birth, all the way through the pre-school ages. The structured weekly music classes use baby songs and fun activities for children to encourage listening and social skills, so essential not only in music but in all other areas of learning. They will develop a sense of rhythm, which will also help with learning and speech development. The fabulous music and songs for babies and children are an eclectic mixture of traditional tunes that are unique to our delightful programme. Watch your child grow in confidence as they come each week and take part in our small, friendly classes full of music, educational games and fun activities.

Hello – I’m Nicola. I fell in love with the Music with Mummy classes while attending them with my own little boy. I’m very excited to be running my own classes. I play the clarinet and have a performance degree in music, I am also a qualified teacher. Music is very important to me and has always been in my life since I was very young. I am looking forward to introducing music and its benefits to lots of other children.
Each week in JOLLY BABIES (birth to approx 15 months) we start with a hello song so we can get to know each other, then we sing a variety of traditional and original action songs, use fun props, play instruments, dance or bounce, have listening time with bubbles and lights, and finish with a lullaby and a goodbye song. It’s half an hour of loveliness! Each week builds on the previous week so you get to know the songs to sing at home as well!
In MUSIC WITH MUMMY classes (approx 16 months to 3 years old), we begin with a hello song where children can continue to develop their social skills, confidence and independence. Each term we focus on key musical concepts such as loud and soft, long and short sounds etc through termly themes such as ‘Toys’, ‘Colours’, ‘Light’, ‘Family’ and we continue to have fun using props, instruments, dancing, action songs and listening time.
We use a mix of traditional and original songs and build on the learning carefully each week so you can both get to know the songs and the learning can continue at home too! We finish each week with a fun goodbye song that everybody loves!
