What Once Upon a Rhyme says

Welcome to ‘Once Upon A Rhyme club’ a lively independent rhyme time I've crafted with much love. Short stories with fun characters, songs and rhymes both classic and new.
Dress up and experience the story through props and music. It’s not only fun, it’s learning too. After all that fun children can explore the props independently making their own stories and games while parents and carers can have a tea/coffee and a chat. A snack time for children at the end of play and a little something or activity to take home to extend the learning from the session.

About

Hi I’m Jane
I’m a mum of three children, all grown up now. I'm a granny and I've been a nanny for many years.I studied childcare and education and have worked in many children’s settings such as nurseries and schools before becoming a nanny. I’ve been to many rhyme time groups and I enjoy them as much as the children. I have always wanted my own little group and so here I am. Singing, dancing, dress up, stories and role play combine to teach our children in a fun and interactive way. I’ve used my knowledge of the early years foundation stage to make a fun and imaginative group where learning can take place. I’ve set aside time for independent exploration and play and there is a social element to the group.
I’ve also added some time for the parents and carers to chat. Looking after children has also taught me how important it is to be able to connect with others.
So bring your little one and join us in making stories come to life in this imaginative playground where learning meets fun!
