Classes are open to boys and girls age 3 upwards and take a rounded approach - classes emphasise physical development, creativity, musicality and freedom of expression in a non-competitive environment. Through my unique programme, children will develop strong foundations in dance technique whilst exploring their creativity through a range of activities and games. Classes include plenty of opportunities for children to contribute their own ideas and create their own movements. Children will have the chance to perform their work back to each other, developing performance skills and confidence in their ideas. Our small class sizes allow for lots of individualised attention and a friendly community where every child has a chance to participate and express themselves.

ABOUT
Hi! I'm Rachel Barlow, founder and principal of RMB Dance Edinburgh. I set up RMB Dance in January 2021, after several years of training and teaching experience. I hold an MSc Dance Science and Education, BA(Hons) Dance, PVG, Insurance and First Aid, as well as various CPD certificates in working with children and young people. My previous experiences have led me to realise just how much of a great impact dance can have on children's wellbeing. Especially now, at a time when children's physical and mental wellbeing is paramount, children can really benefit from using dance as an outlet for their energy and feelings. I firmly believe that dance can provide children with a unique opportunity to express themselves and learn life skills, as well as develop physical skills and practice an active lifestyle.
RMB Dance Edinburgh focuses on 'promoting positivity through dance'. This means that classes focus on creating strong minds as well as strong bodies, using dance to develop skills such as resilience and respect. Children will be welcomed into a positive environment where they can be themselves, challenge themselves, and share a love of dance with their peers.
