BABY SWIMMING

Toddler One is an entry level class for children aged 18 months – 2.5 years. This course is open to children who have not attended any swimming lessons before or attended very few. A parent is in the water with the child.

This course is a gentle and fun exploration of primary water skills. At this age children may be fearful of the water, so we use song and play to distract and overcome the reservations the children have.

Children are encouraged to jump into the water from the side of the pool, float on their backs using mirrors, kick their legs and blow bubbles. The large play raft and watering cans are used to build water confidence in a fun way.

Toddler 1 is an excellent introduction to learning swimming skills and building confidence in the pool. Toddler 1 is avilable at the following venues: Gardens pool, SE1, Epsom and Whiteley Village, Walton-on-Thames
