I create a safe space for new parents to come and meet other new parents, whilst learning the nurturing skill of baby massage.
Over 5 sessions, I help parents learn massage techniques that can ease colic, reflux, trapped wind and constipation, as well as enhance the bonding and attachment experience for both parent and baby.
My classes are baby-led and it really doesn't matter if babies cry, need feeding/changing, aren't in the mood to join in or just want to be held and cuddled; there is time for parents to enjoy refreshments (included) and a chat, and I create a non-judgemental place for parents to talk in confidence, if they so wish. It's a very supportive environment and parents often make lasting friendships in my classes. Never rushed, and always relaxed.
I teach a full body massage and gentle movements for the under ones (demonstrating on a doll whilst parents are invited to massage their own baby). I provide comprehensive notes, a colour-booklet of the strokes, massage oil, a certificate on completion, and on-going/future support by phone, text or email should the parent require that.
Massage is a life-long skill and if learnt early on, can give the parent confidence in their new role, whilst also establishing mutual respect, as we learn to tune into our baby's needs and read their baby cues. It can be relaxing for both baby and parent; encouraging the production of the "feel-good" hormone oxytocin which has several benefits to a healthy lifestyle, particularly as it combats the "stress" hormone cortisol.

There is a short registration form to complete beforehand, and I take payment in advance to secure a place.
