Important: This walk navigates some narrowish pavements and cobbles around Covent Garden, and so the guide has requested there to be 8 prams maximum. If you can bring a sling instead that would be much appreciated, but we know for various reason this isn't alwasys possible. When booking please select the appropriate ticket for pram, sling or extra adult and then we will know when we have to cut off ticket sales. Thank you!
Walk starts outside Lyceum Theatre, Covent Garden & ends near St Giles
With 30 minute (approx.) stop for lunch/coffee halfway at The Royal Opera House cafe where there is also a baby change.
'Bring Your Baby' Guided London Walks are sensitively devised to suit parents and carers of even the tiniest babies to enjoy London’s history. We can stop whenever you like to feed and change - without the stress of feeling you are holding up the group. Because every participant brings their baby, patience and baby’s needs are at the forefront of each walk.
You are welcome to bring friends and family who do not also have a baby.
About this walk:
Venture through the streets and piazzas of Covent Garden to discover the story of a very special book of the 18th Century.
'Mr Harris’s Book of Covent Garden Ladies' was a list that named the women who worked the streets of Georgian London – on this walk we will discover who they were and the buildings, theatres and taverns that they frequented in order to make a living.
We will also look back to the time of the Restoration - where characters such as Charles II, Nell Gwynne and Samuel Pepys helped to establish the streets around Covent Garden as one of the most fashionable and entertaining areas of London.
This walk is guided by Daniella King, a City of London, Westminster and Clerkenwell & Islington Tour Guide.

Even if they have given consent when booking according to our terms and conditions, they can of course withdraw their consent and can contact us at the email provided. - At 'Bring Your Baby Pub Quizzes', we understand that the parent or guardian will want to keep sleeping babies close to their table in baby carriers (including, for example: prams, buggies or car seats). However if babies are awake we reserve the right to ask the parent or guardian to move their baby carrier into a designated area of the venue to meet health and safety requirements (such as clear access to fire exits and clear walkways).
