GREATER MANCHESTER DOULAS CIC

This is a peer support group facilitated by doulas. The purpose of this space to for new mothers to come together and feel a sense of community. We know that postpartum can sometimes feel lonely or overwhelming, so we invite you to come along and allow yourself to exhale.

Long ago when we had that proverbial village nobody would be carrying the full weight of motherhood alone. There would be neighbours and friends on hand to help you with the laundry and with cooking, to make you a brew and hold you baby whilst you have a wee in peace. For many women now this isn’t the reality. We hope that this group can bring a piece of that village to your postpartum by providing an opportunity to be truly heard, to forge friendships and to be around other women who understand where you’re at.

Come along and we’ll make sure you’ve got a hot brew and a place to sit whilst you take a load off.

This group runs at The Energise Centre, 3 Douglas Green, Salford M6 6ES

The room we use is usually upstairs but there is a lift in the venue. There is a small free carpark and road parking available. There is a cafe at the venue but we provide tea and coffee as well. Babes in arms are very welcome but older children are not allowed in this venue.

No need to book, you can just turn up on the day!
