My name is Hayley, and I'm thrilled to share a bit about myself and the journey that led to the creation of this community.
Living in Reading with my husband and four children, I've dedicated much of my career to supporting families in our local area. As a former Family Support Worker, I've had the privilege of assisting numerous families, gaining valuable experience and insights along the way.
Through extensive training and qualifications, including NVQs in Working with Families, Education and Childcare, Counselling Skills and Mental Health Awareness, I've honed my expertise in various facets of family support. My passion for child development and parenting has led me to become qualified to run a range of parenting courses, empowering caregivers with knowledge and skills to navigate the joys and challenges of raising children.
On a personal note, my own journey into motherhood wasn't without its obstacles. Struggling with anxiety and low mood after the birth of my first child, I experienced feelings of isolation and loneliness during maternity leave. Additionally, navigating through pregnancy losses over the years brought its own set of challenges and heartache. However, through perseverance and the support of my own network, I've found strength in these experiences.
It's this understanding of the highs and lows of motherhood that fuels my passion for supporting women's wellbeing. Having witnessed firsthand the struggles many women face in seeking support and connection, along with Jade we founded Her Story & Co with the mission of providing a nurturing and inclusive space for women from all walks of life.
