Description
All humans have a sensory system, and part of our development as we grow from tiny humans into fully grown ones, relies intensely on the way our sensory system is supported to develop and calibrate itself, in order to be a foundational building block for the other learning that happens in those first years of life.
Our babies experience the world through a very sensory lens, because unlike us, they haven't acquired language to understand life yet.
We can support them to have the best building blocks and lenses through which to scaffold their learning of life skills, if we know how to enrich their sensory world in the best ways.
Understanding your baby's sensory system, and how it is typically understood to develop and progress, can also help parents to be aware early on of any differences to typical development, in order to investigate and support children who may have cognitive differences or developmental difficulties.
This group course not only allows you to bring your baby to experience sensory toys and resources that will entertain and stimulate them, but will deliver knowledge and skills to you as their caregiver on how to continue this sensory enrichment to support their development beyond the 8 sessions we will have together that cover each of the senses.
There are stairs up to the room, so prams are not advised but there is plenty of room for car seats to be brought up, there is a baby changing area available in the room, but toilets are downstairs.
