KIRSTY AND KIDS FOREST SCHOOL

Join us on Thursdays for Forest School Stay and Play sessions. Child-led Forest School fun with a mud kitchen area, rope swing, bug hotel, craft area etc. We support the children to develop their interests and provide stimulus based on seasons and weather changes. The session includes sharing a hot drink together and stories and games to finish. Attending Forest School over a period of time develops a connection to nature and our local woodlands, as well as resilience in attending in a range of weather conditions.

Please wear plenty of layers to keep you and your child warm as we head into the winter months. Waterproof trousers and jackets help to keep us dry and to keep the wind out (and can be easily removed at the end of the session before heading home!). Wear a hat and scarf/snood to stop the chill getting to bare skin. Walking boots or snow boots will keep feet warmer than welly boots. Check out charity shops and online second hand stores such as Vinted for pre-loved items at a fraction of the price. Be prepared to experience any weather. Bring along any nut-free snacks needed for you and your child to keep energy levels high while exploring. An information sheet with a map showing our meeting location will be sent through after you've made your booking.
