PYJAMA DRAMA

In every class children sing, dance, play drama games and, of course, pretend. Each week is a different adventure – one week we’ll be surviving the arctic with polar bears, taking our poorly unicorn to the vet, or swimming with mermaids, and the next, helping grandma weed her garden or rescuing a dragon from the top of a tree.

Drama is one of the most powerful ways to develop life skills. Pretend play accelerates language, nurtures empathy, builds confidence and teaches children about the world. It targets teamwork and builds resilience and self-esteem. Our classes meet the current requirements of the National Curriculum, specifically the three Prime Areas of Learning: Communication and language, Personal, social and emotional development, and Physical skills.

The Community Centre is the same building as the library. We have a small stay and play after the session with biscuits and bubbles. The centre has no car park but you can find on street parking outside.
