READY, STEADY, GO PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP

Here at Ready, Steady, Go Parent and Toddler Group, we are excited to announce that the Rockabillies music group will be joining us this half term for our two Rhyme Time sessions. We are so grateful to the Rockabillies for this fantastic opportunity, for our group, to share their musical expertise with the parents, carers and young children in our local community. These sessions have been made possible with generous support from Youth Music.

Roma, that is leading both sessions, is a highly trained musician and singer who plays a variety of instruments. Using different themes, music and songs along with puppets, colourful props and a range of exciting instruments, she will introduce the children to the excitement of live music. In these sessions the children will begin to develop an understanding of pulse, pitch and general musicality.

This Rhyme Time session will include a 25 minute music session led by Roma. There will also be rhyme time related themed toys and activities for the children to play with, explore and enjoy before and after the musical input. 

If you have a baby, there is a comfortable area available with mats and baby toys.

Research suggests that, exposing young children to music can ignite all areas of their development and skills in preparation for their school journey; including intellectual, social, emotional, fine motor, language and overall literacy. Being exposed to music also enables children to learn the sounds and meaning of words and it helps the body and the mind work together.
