Description
We know that having a baby can be a difficult time, and can be a period of immense change. We feel passionately about supporting parents as they make this transition, and want to provide a space for connection and support. We hope to provide a therapeutic, safe space for new and expectant mums and dads to connect, consider their wellbeing and their relationships with their babies. We will have various themes each time we meet, but the group will be informal in nature, drawing on psychological approaches. Babies are always welcome and light refreshments will be included.
Dr Eloise Wynter and Dr Misbah Hussain are Clinical Psychologists who have experience of working in NHS and third-sector organisations. They support children, adults, couples and families to manage the psychological and emotional impact of a range of life experiences, including transitioning to parenthood. They are passionate about holding safe and supportive spaces for people from a range of backgrounds to make sense of their experiences, drawing on a community approach to wellbeing and centring individual identities in the work.
