Description
During the sessions, children are expertly introduced to: pulse, pitch, rhythm, improvisation, music reading, coordination, whilst also exploring the expressive qualities of music and building key social skills of cooperation, participation, contribution, leading, following and taking turns.
At this early stage, simple and more abstract musical concepts are absorbed unconsciously, laying the foundations for intuitive understanding and the ability to articulate complex musical ideas later.
Our Early Years class provides the ideal introduction for children, before starting our Integrated Music Programme (IMP) from age five.
Children are expertly introduced to all of the elements that make up music: pulse, pitch, rhythm, improvisation, music reading and coordination. They also explore the expressive qualities of music and build social skills of cooperation, participation, contribution, leading, following and taking turns. And they have great fun!
