THE SPACE SOMERSET

Archery Active is the ultimate team combat sport, combining the best of Paintballing, Archery and Dodgeball - without the bruises, mess or expensive ammo! Things can quickly get pretty intensive with players having to sidestep, duck, jump and sometimes dive to avoid the oppositions arrows. Whilst fun and engaging, at times it can get very competitive and requires players to work together, take risks and make quick decisions to win. There will be both emotional highs and lows as you play...will your team have to cope with disappointment or celebrate success? It'll be fun finding out!

How does it work?

Once we kit you out with a bow, face mask, arm guard and foam tipped arrows, you'll receive a full safety briefing, rules of engagement and how to best to use the equipment. Then you are split into 2 teams for battle and strategy games to commence.

Where does it take place?

Our purpose-built, all weather battle arena features special soft rubber flooring and plenty of barrels to use as shields or perhaps a war room where you can plan out your teams strategy! It's located at Mendip Activity Centre, nestled in our beautiful 250-acre woodland estate set in one of Southwest England's most special places - The Mendip Hills National Landscape.

We go ahead with our activities whatever the weather so please wear light layers and bring a waterproof.
Please make sure you have a long sleeve top/jumper for archery.
Our activity centre is in the countryside and our target sport ranges can get muddy underfoot, especially if it has been wet. Please wear sturdy, closed toe shoes that you don't mind getting muddy (trainers, walking boots, wellies are all great).
