Description

Mum & Baby Yoga: Connect, Stretch, and Relax

Our 45-minute Mum & Baby Yoga class is a wonderful opportunity to bond with your baby while focusing on your own wellbeing. This class is designed to support postnatal recovery, helping new mums regain strength, improve posture, and relieve tension, all in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Each session includes gentle yoga poses and stretches tailored to your postnatal body, focusing on core strength, pelvic floor health, and overall flexibility. We also incorporate breathing techniques and relaxation exercises to help reduce stress and promote a sense of calm.

Your baby is an integral part of the practice! Expect playful movements and interactive poses that encourage connection and stimulate your baby’s development. There’s plenty of room for feeding, changing, and cuddling, so you can move at your own pace and enjoy a pressure-free experience.

This class is ideal for mums with babies aged 6 weeks to crawling. Whether you’re new to yoga or returning after pregnancy, our Mum & Baby Yoga class is a nurturing space for you and your little one to grow, connect, and thrive together.

Join us and discover the joy of moving and bonding with your baby while prioritising your own health and happiness.

Born in a small village on the South Coast, my partner and I moved to the City of Manchester at 19 for a life filled with adventure. We fell in love with the North instantly.

Then lockdown happened and I found myself struggling with anxiety in a way I never had before. Yoga was my saving grace. Online yoga helped me to regulate my mind and move my body. I decided to take the leap and completed a course on yoga for special needs children during lockdown. I implemented this at the school I worked at and absolutely loved to see the effect it had on the children. I was HOOKED! A few years ago I took my Level 3 yoga accreditation and started teaching adults and children during my off time.

Fast forward to now, I have a 5 month old baby. When she was tiny, I was been craving movement but my body was/ is still healing and recovering from pregnancy and an emergency C-section. Mum and baby yoga was the answer and I absolutely loved moving whilst bonding with my baby. I then decided to help other mums achieve this too by doing a Mum and Baby course myself!

I recently read an article about the inner stillness you can find during yoga practice. I love that wording... inner stillness. It said how during Asana practice and pranayama, you can connect with yourself, your purest and most inner self. This is something I implement in every class I teach, from hatha to mum and baby. Taking a pause, a breath, a moment to reconnect, then implementing this in daily life. I focus on deep positioning, mindfull movement and breathwork. Connection to the present.
