Toddle Talk Sign Language Classes are designed to teach you British Sign Language Signs that you can use to communicate with your baby, both before they can speak and as they continue through their journey of speech development in order to help cut down their frustrations.

This class is aimed at younger babies who are not yet able to crawl. The sensory elements and gentle stimulation is tailored to assist your baby's development and socialisation without risking overstimulation.

The themed signs each week are taught through the singing of nursery rhymes using toys, props, instruments, stories, puppets and sensory stimulation. This class is kept intimate and the studio warmed to keep your baby relaxed and comfortable during the sessions.

Toddle Talk classes teach British Sign Language signs that you can use in your day-to-day communication with your baby/toddler, both before they can speak and throughout their entire speech journey.

Each week's class follows a different theme, and signs are emphasised through songs, instruments, puppets, sensory toys and stories. The classes are fun and engaging, but tailored to suit younger babies, with an increased focus on sensory stimulus and a calm, intimate setting.

Gentle colour changing lights and the use of textures and sounds will excite and engage the babies, while your singing and interaction will strengthen the bond between you as you nestle down together for the hour-long class.

There will be 30 mins of singing and signing, followed by refreshments and time for socialising.

Cut down your baby's frustrations of not being understood
Strengthen the parent and baby bond
Assist with developing sensory, social literacy and numeracy skills
Stimulate your baby's excitement to join in and copy/learn, understanding more about their world
Allow parents/carers to meet other parents and babies/toddlers and share experiences

Classes currently run for an hour with time included for tea/coffee, biscuits and playtime for the babies/toddlers.

Classes are £8.50 per family per class, with half a term's fees required upfront to secure your booking.
