Description

This small, friendly group (max 12 children) offers active & social explorative play in a beautiful natural setting. Each session offers a mix of structured & free-flow woodland adventures for toddlers/pre-schoolers and their adult carers.

Come and meet our 250 yr old 'Granny Beech' tree plus Sue Squirrel, Lucky Bear & the other woodland cuddlies for lots of fun nature connection activities observing the seasonal changes in the woods. Activities include: bug hunting, leaf threading, land art, ID/treasure hunts, clay painting, tool work & hammock swinging. Each session finishes with a fire and singsong.

Snacks & drinks provided for the children, hot drinks and cake/biscuits available for adults.

Example of a typical session:
Start with some free play as people arrive.
Welcome & Busy Bee songs.
Talk about what the birds do in spring.
Explore: Venture off to find the cuddly singing birds hiding in the woods.
Gather back for a snack and drink and the story of Magpie's Nest.
Crafty activity: Make a birds nest using found natural materials.
Free play opportunity.
Fire & singsong.
