Description
This class is a combined class of mum and baby yoga and baby massage. Yoga and massage work so well together to help babies development. While mums get to enjoy a lovely stretch to ease our backs, and reverse the effects of feeding and carrying all day.
Yoga and massage have many benefits for both parent & child.
Benefits for baby
Promotes better sleep, improved bodily systems, increased physical & mental development, creating bond between parent & baby, introduces techniques to help your baby relax, promotes whole body muscle strength & joint flexibility. Improves digestion and helps with constipation.
Benefits for parent
Improves posture flexibility and strength, helps to reduce the aches & pains of lifting carrying and feeding baby, post-natal exercises to help strengthen both abdominals and pelvic floor, bonding with your little one in a fun and interactive way, great way to meet other local mums and dads.
Parents are to arrive at 1pm, and we will walk through to the community room within the school. It is a little walk so b ringing baby in a pram or baby carrier is advised. We shall start at 1.15pm and will do half hour yoga and half hour massage for babies. I ask that you bring a towel or blanket to pop baby on. Oil is provided if needed, I just ask that a patch test is completed at the start of class.
Massage and yoga should be avoided 24hrs post vaccinations.
