What Scramblers Playgroup says

St. Francis Scramblers Playgroup is open Mondays 9.30-11am, Tuesdays 9.30 - 11am ,Wednesdays 9.30-11am, Thursdays 11am - 12.30pm & Fridays 9.30 - 11am. We are open during term time only and close on Bank Holidays
We meet in St. Francis Church , North Street, Bedminster, Bristol, BS3 1JP.
Entry is £4.00 for one adult & child, additional children over 1 year are 50p extra and extra adults are £1 extra. You can pay by card or cash on the door and there is no booking required. This includes a hot drink for adults ( We have filter coffee, tea & herbal teas) squash for little ones and biscuits. We also offer freshly cut fruit at snack time halfway through the session.
We are a non profit Christian group and welcome everyone. The group is run by Annie Tyas and a team of volunteers. If you would like to join our volunteer team to make refreshments or know someone who would please contact Annie.
We are ideally suited for 0-5 years. We have a baby area with walkers , bouncers and baby toys. We also have a reading corner and have colouring/ craft table on the chancel step. We have a lending library with parenting books and comfy chairs for baby feeding. Breast feeding is welcomed. We have a large light carpeted area with underfloor heating with an enormous range of ride-ons , play house, tricycles, prams and hundreds of toys for free play.
We encourage parents/carers/ children to help with
tidy up time. Prams and buggys can be parked in the Lady Chapel.
We have spare nappies/ wipes so if you need anything just ask. We have baby change facilities and a nappy bin in the toilets in the foyer.
For the last 20 minutes we have circle time where we show the children’s colouring and the children can ‘say their name’ in the microphone if they like.
We then give out musical instruments and have several songs with actions.
We frequently have special events like Puppet Shows & Zoo visits and these are announced on the Facebook page.
