*PRICE INCREASE: due to increased overheads i.e. venue hire rates, I will be raising my prices a little from January 2025* - Thank you for your understanding.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays I run the music and story time classes and on Wednesdays I run a sensory play class! These are parent and little one classes to help with early years development and confidence building. The Tuesday and Thursday classes are an hour of singing, moving and playfulness involving lots of affirmation and the Wednesday is more exploratory with varied sensory activities the children and parents can wonder around and play with. This is to encourage using their fine motor and play skills. All sessions involve music and singing and end with a story time. I encourage parents to sing and play along with their children and reignite their "childlike wonder". I believe there is so much cognitive development in children through singing and listening to stories and I want to help parents development deeper bonds with their children through them doing it altogether. Put simply – learning through fun, makes learning fun.
Please feel free to bring snacks for your little one as hungry bubas are not happy bubas.

If you feel like you're not in a position to pre-book, I also accept card and cash on the day and I always leave a few drop in spaces.

Hello, I'm Thérèse and I created and lead the classes.
I have an National Diploma in Performing Arts and a Degree in Drama. Before having my own children I worked as a performer (singing mainly) and also worked in childcare for many years.
Having an understanding and love of both things is what birthed the idea for Songs, Rhymes & Story Times!
Helping children learn during those fundamental early years and helping them build confidence and believe in themselves is a passion! A huge bonus for me is enjoying myself and connecting with my own child-like-wonder during each session.
