SWOOVE WITH EMILY
Sing Whoop, Move
What Swoove with Emily says
Designed to be a good fun work out for a parent/carer but also great fun for the kids too.
Any age can join in from babies to adults. Dancing and swooving along. Its about fun- no pressure or judgement!
It includes some child focused singing/activity at the start and the end, with a family friendly dance based workout in the middle.
Swoovers pay a single fee for a adult and a child and they can participate in the class and also access the great facilities at Sea Life Play Centre. That’s exercise, fun, for you and the children and then the children can let off steam at the soft play if they would like to, all before nap time- for one great price- every week.
Children are free to leave the dance area during the session and use the soft play if they choose (and parents feel comfortable).
About
My name is Emily and I am 40, a mum to two beautiful and energetic children. I am a qualified occupational therapist and I work as a mental health adviser at a college in Hampshire. I have danced in various styles for many years and it always stays with me even when I haven’t done it in a while. Using fun and accessible fitness to improve mental health is also a huge passion of mine.
I became a Swoove instructor for a few reasons…
As a parent, fitting in exercise is tough, going to a class where you can dance, have a decent work out AND have fun , and being able to bring the children and the children have fun too… unheard of!!
I remembered going along to a few classes when I lived in Sussex, when my first child was little and the classes gave me just that- it was a Swoove Mini class, but there wasn’t anything similar in my local area now.
I found out if it was something I could do, and make it my own… the rest is history.
