THE JOLLY MELODIES MUSIC COMPANY THE JOLLY MELODIES MUSIC COMPANY WINDSOR
Take your child on a musical journey from birth to school age
What The Jolly Melodies Music Company says
Started in 1992 by husband-and-wife team, David and Diane Cox (a potent combination of professional musician and early years teacher), The Jolly Melodies Music Company (formerly known as ‘Music with Mummy’) has been delivering music to children up and down the country ever since!
With our wonderful unique music, as well as the traditional songs you and your child already know and love, our carefully structured weekly sessions provide the very best in early music education and exploration. In addition, our programme is carefully designed to target child development and early learning across other areas too: listening and language skills for example, social and emotional development, even, as our older class attendees start to gain readiness, early numeracy!
Our unique classes are deliberately kept small enough to feel all-inclusive and super-friendly and to enable the class leader to really get to know, and therefore get the very best from, your individual child.
Classes run all over the country by our carefully selected Jolly Melodies leaders. All have an enhanced DBS, full public liability insurance and regular safeguarding training.
About
Hi – I’m Fran Briscoe and am mum to three lovely, lively boys. Originally from Zimbabwe, I have lived in the UK for the past 25 years (although you’d never know from my strong Zimbabwean accent!) With a corporate background prior to having children, I re-trained as a Montessori teacher in 2009 and my speciality age group is with children from birth to six. I ran Parent & Toddler sessions at a Montessori Pre-School for many years and delighted in encouraging the parents to take a step back and observe their children to allow them to reach their full potential. I have been teaching Music With Mummy and Jolly Babies classes in Windsor since 2016, after first falling in love with the programme having taken my eldest son (then second and third!) to classes over a decade before. My classes compliment my Montessori training beautifully by encouraging independence, self-esteem and concentration, and developing important listening and speech skills whilst enjoying a fun and educational introduction to music. I’m so lucky to be able to do what I really LOVE – working with children – and each day I’m reminded how lucky I am when I see their happy smiles and am able to share in their early learning journeys.
