Welcome to the Little Dance Academy!

A place where imaginations come alive, and children can experience the joy and magic of dance.
Our passionate teachers enjoy sharing their love of dance with our little dance community, and encouraging our little dancers to grow and learn through the magic of movement and creativity.

Whether your little dancer is a budding Ballet Bunny, a talented Tapping Penguin, a Hip Hop Bear with style, or a dedicated Drama Lion; they will feel inspired at LDA. Our classes are unforgettable, adventurous, bursting with creativity, and our talented teachers will carefully guide your little dancer through their first dancing steps.

We love to have fun, we love to use our imaginations, and we aren’t afraid to be a little silly at times too! Through all that we do, we hope to foster a long-lasting love of dance in your little one, and fill them with confidence to take on the world.

About

Ruth started dancing aged three and took part in Ballet, Jazz and Scottish Highland dancing. She grew up performing in various pantomimes, shows and competitions. Aged eighteen she won a scholarship at Preston Dance college on the ‘Professional Dancers and Teachers of Dance’ course where she trained and became a fully qualified teacher.

Ruth has over ten years teaching experience and has an extensive portfolio of various teaching roles in London.

In addition to preparing and successfully entering pupils for dance examinations over the years she has also produced, directed and choreographed several children's dance shows, all of which have been greatly received.

Ruth is also a mum to two young girls and understands more than ever the importance of nurturing, encouraging and supporting little humans to find their dancing feet. She is a passionate and enthusiastic teacher and the proud franchisee of LDA Walthamstow
