What The Story Stem says

At The Story Stem we deliver fun and interactive storytelling sessions aimed at under 5's. Our original stories are designed to help encourage little ones and their grown-ups to take an active interest in our natural environment. We believe that one of the best ways to learn is through imaginative play, so we structure our classes with this in mind through use of practitioner led interactive stories, child led free play and live music. Our interactive stories take children on an imaginative journey and help them learn about our natural world. They learn about natural processes and the incredible ways in which animals and organisms help the environment just by doing what they do. We use mostly homemade or second hand sensory props, combined with live instruments, playful melodies and strong vocal harmonies to create a full immersive experience at our events. By making our stories interactive we allow children to think critically and independently, to use their imaginations and seek creative solutions, and develop STEM skills from an early age. Children can learn vital language and communication and build on confidence and social skills while interacting with their peers. We hope we can have a positive and lasting impact by showing children how magical and brilliant nature can be and sparking their interest from a young age.
