Hello!! Welcome to TinyTalk Stockport East. We are Helen and Jo and we are your local Award Winning TinyTalk Teachers. Helen has been teaching classes for an amazing six years and Jo attended Helen's classes for five years as a parent and loved it so much, she decided to become a TinyTalk teacher herself and has been teaching for one year. Helen has 2 children, Emma is 12 and Ben is 9 and Jo has a little boy, Jacob who has just finished in reception. Helen has always had a job in childcare or school settings and has used signing to help all ages of children communicate. Jo has been a primary school teacher for 20 years but has developed a love for signing over the last few years. When the opportunity to start running Baby Signing classes came up, Helen jumped at the chance. It is amazing to see how little ones can make themselves understood by using signs to communicate before they have a voice. The benefits of Baby Signing are amazing and we love seeing those first signs, it is like magic!

We run Baby signing classes and Toddler Talking Classes in Offerton, High Lane, Bramhall, Marple, Great Moor and Hazel Grove in Stockport, there is a class on 6 days of the week so plenty to choose from! Baby classes are aimed at newborn babies to around 24 months and Toddler Classes from 18 months upwards, these are very rough guides as each baby is individual so whichever class suits them.

TinyTalk classes are 1 hour long, in the first half hour we have lots of fun introducing the sign in nursery rhymes, songs, books and games. The signs are based on a weekly theme and we also introduce some sensory activities to develop your babies communication skills and musical instruments. In the Toddler Talking classes there is a lot more focus on language development as well as keeping the signs, we do lots of activities that encourage sharing, turn taking, social skills and communication skills. The second half hour is social time for you and your little ones! You can enjoy a brew and a biscuit whilst you have a chat with other grown ups and your little one learns to play and interact with others.
