Wylder is ran by Charlie, a level 3 Forest School practitioner and Level 3 Childcare practitioner with a passion for the outdoors. With over 12 years experience in working with children and 7 years experience in Forest School working with schools, nurseries and private settings across Herefordshire. Delivering Forest School sessions, running Holiday Clubs, family sessions, sessions for toddlers and Home educated Children. Wylder is also at hand to help improve and create Outdoor spaces. Sessions are about exploring nature and sharing the opportunities nature has to offer through games, nature crafts, woodcraft, fire craft, building dens, playing and cooking together. Sessions build on self-esteem, confidence, independence and creativity. What is Forest School? Forest School is an outdoor, child-led session. Children will learn how to manage risks, improve communication skills, build dens, learn to use a variety of tools, cook over the fire, love nature, use their imaginations and explore!At Wylder Forest School we are passionate about the holistic development of the whole child and will work to improve self-esteem and resilience. Sessions will be planned based on observations of the previous week to enable participants to progress their learning but the focus will be on self-directed learning and discovery; in other words, play!Forest School works best and is designed to be frequent and regular and that’s why we book a block of 6 sessions at a time.We also host a selection of sessions at a private Woodland in Norton Canon- Little Explorers - Wednesdays 0am-12pm - Suitable for 18m+Weekly forest schools sessions perfect for inquisitive little people ran Wednesdays during term time. A fun exciting group for 18mths - 6 years, incorporating messy play, stories, crafts and all the fun of the forest! Each week provides an opportunity to explore the woods, swing in our hammocks, cook over the fire, climb trees, take part in craft activities, enjoy nature and the freedom!
