'FAMILY HUB' STAY AND PLAY SESSIONS

Engage in play with your child at our free Stay and Play sessions!

What 'Family Hub' Stay and Play sessions says

We provide weekly Stay and Play sessions at the Leicestershire County Councils 'Family Hub' centres in Hinckley, Barwell, Earl Shilton and Bagworth. Our welcoming and relaxed sessions are lead by our amazing volunteers who have DBS checks and who have years of experience supporting families and young children.

We focus our sessions around local events and calendar celebrations, and ensure links to the EYFS framework through imaginative play, access to books and singing time.

These sessions run during term time and are FREE to attend. If possible, you can give a £1 donation which will go towards crafts and/or snacks. We ask that you supervise your children at all times, and take the chance to engage in play with them. We hope that you will also enjoy meeting other parents/carers within your local area.

About

At each 'Family Hub' you will meet different volunteers who have undertaken our Stay and Play training, safe guarding training and who are all fully DBS checked. Our volunteers are parents themselves, some of whom have worked within childcare but all of whom are passion about supporting local families during their children's early years. You will be greeted by their smiling faces each week, and as they get to know you and your children, they will plan sessions and toys based on the children's interests. The volunteers work hard and give up their own time to run these sessions, so we ask that you support them to tidy up toys and that you supervise your own children at all times.
