Hello!
Many congratulations on your pregnancy, and also on seeking some specialist pregnancy yoga!
Finding a good class is a wise move. I certainly felt the benefits of a regular practice more than ever during my own pregnancies, and it was yoga that gave me the calm, strength and focus I needed for labour. I have two daughters and I love motherhood, although the transition to becoming a mother is not always easy. Supporting other women through their pregnancy journey is a huge privilege, and as a LushTums teacher I hope I can help you with some of the physical and mental challenges. It's such a joy to bring local women together, eager to connect and build friendships at this transformative time. My classes are a happy mix of chatter and laughter; slow, nurturing movement and meditation; and practical preparation for birth, including calming breath practices and specific techniques to help in different scenarios. We finish each session with a luxuriously long guided relaxation, leaving you feeling blissed out and ready for a great night's sleep.
And it really is for everyone - whether you're a keen yogini or you've never tried any yoga before, if you already know you'll be having a Caesarean birth or you're longing for a home birth - if this is your first baby or you already have a home full of children - you are welcome.
