There are many benefits of baby sign language. It can improve your child’s understanding, communication and reduce frustration. Children as young as 4months can start understanding signs and by 9 months can start using signs themselves to tell you what they want more easily. Signing together is also a fantastic way to enhance your bond, it’s like having your own secret language together.

At Mini Signers we use a mixture of British sign language and Makaton, choosing the signs that are the easiest for babies and toddlers to achieve. We focus on frequently used and useful words that you can fit into your daily routine. The best bit is by using songs and rhymes the children enjoy learning the signs and actions, and as the adult it gives you the opportunity to learn something new and gain a new skill.
