Dance to good music and bond with your baby. In this six week course, we explore your baby's developmental
movements such as rolling, sitting and crawling, and use these as inspiration for dancing and creative interactions.

In these creative dance sessions for parents and babies, you’ll move together with your baby through a series of movement exercises developed to strengthen wellbeing for both of you. Your child will love to see you dance and play, and together you’ll learn movements and games to take home. You’ll learn about your baby’s developmental movements and use these as an inspiration for dance and creative interactions. You’ll have opportunities for quality time and bonding, through tuning into your baby and being playful together. You’ll have the space to start to recenter yourself and strengthen your own wellbeing, through working twofold on gentle fitness and creativity, thereby benefiting both physical and mental wellbeing.

The Me&Baby Dance course was developed by dance therapist Julia Korning, mother of two, with the aim to spark joy and creativity in the participants and to create a supportive group environment.

No previous dance experience needed. The space is supportive and accommodating to your and your baby’s needs.

General format of sessions
The classes begin with a verbal check-in. The dance then starts with a warm-up around the baby who is on the floor. We move through dance exercises involving baby, such as peekaboo and mirroring, to picking baby up and dancing with baby in arms. We move into the group to dance with the other duos in a themed group dance, often involving fun dance games. To finish, we move back into duets between parent and baby and end with a relaxation and then a check-out. Participants are encouraged to reflect on the sessions and what the movement brought up for them.
