Description
Classes are run in courses of 6 x 90 minute classes and are suitable for pregnant women from 12 weeks (after the 12 week scan) up until birth, even if you go overdue!! I teach complete beginners as well as experienced yogis.
The programme of weekly classes offers a comprehensive system for learning and using yoga throughout pregnancy, labour, birth and beyond. Students learn simple but effective breath and relaxation techniques, Hypno yoga for birth, yoga postures to manage common physical ailments, and visualisation practices to build confidence and assist in easeful birth.
Yoga is the ideal exercise for pregnant woman. It is widely recommended by midwives and doctors to expectant mothers as a way of keeping fit and mobile.
Pregnancy yoga:
keeps the body supple without straining,
boosts energy,
relieves stress and anxiety,
relaxes and promotes restful sleep,
can be used to relieve pain in labour / childbirth,
can relieve common minor ailments during pregnancy (e.g. swollen joints, heartburn, constipation),
can help the expectant mother to bond with the unborn baby through breathing and visualisation techniques
A great way to meet other local Mums-to-be.
The classes are held at Little Kingshill Village hall, the hall has wooden floors and is very well heated so lovely and warm in the winter but cool in the summer.
