MUMS AND TOTS GROUP

Here’s what normally happens in the group: Mums and carers are warmly welcomed by considerate volunteers into a brightly lit hall with carpets. Various play areas, games, including messy ones at times (e.g. rice box), await the toddlers. A kitchenette at the far end of the hall provides coffee, tea and biscuits on the go for tired and exhausted mums, carers and volunteers to be refreshed. While the young ones play, the older ones, at times, can chat among themselves and (try to) relax.

After mostly free play, at some stage, the volunteers will lead in a couple of songs where everyone is welcome to sing along, or not. This will be followed by a short story time with different themes.

All the activities will help the little ones in developing motor skills, cognitive progress, with communication and social skills.

Last but not least, adults will benefit from the group too. They are getting to meet other mums and carers and may also have a chance to have that special bonding time with their little ones.

From Walthamstow Bus Station (Stop C) take Bus 58 towards Eastham
After 5 stops get off at St Saviour?s Church (Stop MS)
Keep walking in the direction of bus.
Turn left on Boundary Road.
